Convert the traffic
you already have.

I analyze your Shopify store the way your customers actually move through it, then hand you the exact fixes, in order, that improve their experience and your sales. Twenty years in ecommerce, fifteen of them leading technical teams. It starts with a Shopify Conversion Audit.

For Shopify brands doing $300K to $5M who have the traffic but not enough sales.

The Shopify Conversion Audit

What you're really buying is my experience on your store.

Not a generated report. I go through your store the way a customer does, from the basic question of whether things even work all the way up to whether the page actually persuades, and I hand you the specific issues, ranked, with the steps and the metrics to fix each one. Behind the scenes I use my own tooling to gather the evidence and move fast. The judgment is mine, built over twenty years of doing this work.

The method

We fix in order, foundation to persuasion.

You can't persuade a customer on a page that doesn't work, and you can't optimize what you don't measure. So we climb the hierarchy from the bottom. Each layer has its own checks, fixes, and metrics.

01

Functional

Does it work? Broken links, errors, failed checkouts, device-specific defects. Nothing above this matters if the basics leak.

Checkout completion
02

Accessible

Can everyone use it? Speed, mobile, and WCAG. Slow or inaccessible pages lose buyers before they ever engage.

Core Web Vitals
03

Usable

Is it clear? Navigation, search, product pages, and forms. The friction you stopped noticing but your customers still feel.

Search exit rate
04

Intuitive

Does it feel effortless? Information scent, expectations, cognitive load. The difference between "fine" and "easy."

Add-to-cart rate
05

Persuasive

Does it convince? Trust signals, reviews, the offer, and urgency done honestly. Where good stores become great ones.

Conversion rate

We start at the foundation and climb. Every layer comes back with findings, fixes, and the number to watch.

A living audit

Most audits die in a PDF. This one keeps working.

Everyone in this industry tells you optimization never stops, then sells you a $2,000-a-month retainer to handle the "ongoing" part. Your audit includes a full year instead.

Re-scan on demand

Fixed something? Re-scan that item and watch it clear. You see the change, not just take my word for it.

Scans every 30 days

Stores, apps, and themes change. We re-check automatically, because optimization restarts from the foundation each time.

Alerts both ways

New issues surface, resolved ones disappear. You always know exactly where your store stands.

The audit hands you the plan. From there, it's your call: run with it yourself, bring me in to do the fixes, or I'll help you find the right person.

How we think

We use data to make decisions.

You can't optimize what you don't measure. Every recommendation is grounded in evidence from your own store, not best-practice guesswork or my gut.

01

Measure first

We start from your analytics and real customer behavior. If it isn't measured, it isn't a finding.

02

Dollarize the impact

Findings are priced from your own data, so you rank them by what they are worth, not by who argued loudest.

03

Fix in order

Functional, then accessible, usable, intuitive, persuasive. Foundations before flourishes.

04

Validate, don't assume

Where traffic allows, we test changes so a lift is proven before you bank on it.

Reports

Best practices and blind spots

Short, practical reports on the things startups miss, across the parts of the business that move the needle beyond the storefront.

Beyond the audit

The audit is one way in. Here's the rest of what I do.

Twenty years across ecommerce, marketing technology, and engineering leadership. When the question is bigger than a store, these are scoped to you. There's no fixed price, because the right answer depends on the decision in front of you.

Assess

Technical audits

A senior read on your whole technical and operational estate: systems, vendors, tech debt, key-person risk, and where AI and automation pay off.

Scoped to you

Plan

Future-state roadmaps

A prioritized, sequenced plan you can take to your board: what to do first, what it costs to wait, and who should own each move.

Scoped to you

Advise

Fractional CTO advisory

A senior technical partner in the room for the decisions that matter, on a standing cadence, without the full-time hire.

Scoped to you

Leverage

AI & automation

Where AI and automation create real leverage, sized by ROI, handed back as a build roadmap. Optionally scoped and overseen.

Conversion-focused builds

Fixed-scope builds engineered for performance, conversion, and accessibility: a high-converting landing page or a full Shopify store.

Who you work with

Jeremy Barr

My path into technology started on a Commodore 64 in middle school, recreating simple games and hunting through the code for one errant comma. As a teenager it became 3D graphics and design, and somewhere on the line between the analytical and the creative I found what I have chased ever since: a love of learning, and of solving hard problems where each side informs the other.

Over the past two decades I turned that into results, fifteen of those years leading technical teams. At 4Patriots I joined at the startup stage and helped scale the company through technology innovation, process refinement, and optimization as it grew into a 90-person business. One example I am still proud of: leading a small, agile team to build and launch the ecommerce platform that grew to roughly a million dollars a week in sales.

I am a lifelong learner who likes that this field never sits still, and I am especially drawn to using automation to solve problems and move the numbers that matter. I take a bird's-eye view of a business, apply creative solutions to complex problems, and balance the long and short term without letting perfect become the enemy of good enough. The goal never changes: solutions that iterate into repeatable success.
